New Production Company Will Provide "Safe Harbor" For Independent Film Investors

**** Two Islands Entertainment partners Michael Spence and David O'Malley have formed Safe Harbor Productions, Inc. The new company will produce modestly-budgeted feature films that will go to DVD following limited theatrical engagements. The films will employ cutting-edge HDV camera technology and digital EFX. The new slate of movies from Safe Harbor will be released by Shoreline Entertainment and other distributors.

Safe Harbor Productions, Inc. Signs Production Financing Deal with Westar Films

**** Safe Harbor Productions, Inc. has formed a stategic alliance with Westar Films to produce low-budget motion pictures to be distributed by Westar Entertainment. In 2006, Westar Films financed Safe Harbor's horror/thriller "The Dread" which is being repped by Shoreline Entertainment for both domestic and foreign distribution.

Epic Explorer Pic To Set Sail

**** Two Islands' David O'Malley completed the latest draft of "SILK DRAGON", an epic three-hour dramatic feature about Chinese explorer Zheng He. This noted 15th Century eunuch overcame tremendous resistance to become Admiral of the Ming Fleet, leading more than four hundred ships on voyages that spanned the globe.

The film's Producer and co-writer Michael Harris has signed a production deal with Zhuozhou Shooting Base, the largest and most prominent film studio in China.

Two Islands Entertainment and Safe Harbor will also produce a series of five documentary films covering the construction and launch of two large authentic wooden ships that will carry the treasures of the Ming Dynasty around the world as "floating museums" as well as a TV special on the historic opening of a sacred Ming tomb.

"Basic Training" Picked Up For Distribution by Interfilm Berlin

**** The Award-Winning short film "Basic Training" has been picked up for worldwide distribution by Interfilm Berlin. The comedic short made its international debut at the Directors Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival. Subsequently, it won the award for Best Screenplay at FIFI (the Festival International du Film de L'Internet) in Lilles, France. "Basic Training" was written and directed by Two Islands' partner David O'Malley.

"Kalamazoo?" Picked Up by Westar Films for Domestic Theatrical Distribution

**** The feature film "Kalamazoo?" has been picked up by Westar Films, the domestic theatrical distribution division of Westar Entertainment, for release in North America.

The comedy/drama stars Josie Davis ("Beverly Hills 90210" "Carolina Moon"), Miyam Bialik ("Beaches" "Blossom"), Joanna Clare Scott (who also wrote and produced), Claire Bloom ("The Haunting"), Chita Rivera (legendary Broadway star), Dee Wallace Stone ("E.T." "The Howling"), Renee Taylor ("Lovers and Other Strangers") and Michael Boatman ("Spin City").

The film was directed and produced by David O'Malley and edited by Michael Spence. It was produced by Londinium Films and Two Islands Entertainment in association with Shoreline Entertainment.

Safe Harbor Productions Releases First Feature film "THE DREAD"

**** The first feature film produced under the new Safe Harbor Productions banner is the supernatural horror thriller entitled "The Dread." The low-budget direct-to-DVD shocker was lensed in the Midwest and stars cult fave Ellen Sandweiss ("The Evil Dead") and Sally Pressman (star of Lifetime's new series "Army Wives"). Special EFX makeup was designed and executed by horror legend Tom Sullivan ("The Evil Dead" "Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn") who also plays a key dramatic role. Watch HOT FLASH for further details.

The Wait Will Soon Be Over for "Waiting For April"

**** Reports are rampant that the long delayed feature film "Waiting For April" will finally be going before the cameras in 2008. The script was put on hold for nearly three years as other film commitments kept the principals from launching the picture. Now the final script has been delivered and production financing is being put into place. Cast and other attachments should be announced soon.
